Welcome to our site!

Ever wanted to learn about skills f2p and p2p and how to level them? Well this site is for you! Learn from the people who actually had experience!

First, I'll start off with a f2p skill: woodcutting! Of course it's better and faster if your a member but you can still get 99 in a f2p world!

Step #1: Getting an axe.

level 1- bronze/iron hatchet

level 6- steel/black hatchet

level 21- mithril hatchet

level 31- adamant hatchet

level 41- rune hatchet (best hatchet available for f2p)

level 61- dragon hatchet (best purchasable hatchet for members)

level 61- inferno adze (after "all fired up". you need also 92 firemaking)

Step #2: Cutting the tree.

after getting the axe (hatchet) of your choice and level equivalency (iron is best hatchet for level 1 woodcutting), it's time to chop the tree. A good place to start is at Lumbridge behind the general store. Chop the trees there until level 15 woodcutting.

Here is where the location is.

Step #2: Oak trees.

Once you have reached a woodcutting level of 15, you can move on to oaks. You might want to keep cutting normal trees until level 20 so you can get a little bit of a head-start over everyone else cutting oaks at level 15. After you reach level 6 woodcutting, you should buy a steel hatchet if you don't have a lot of money. If you can afford it, save up to 1000-3500 gold for a black hatchet (better than steel). The best place to cut oaks are in varrock, which you should cut them until level 30 if you wish to move on to willows, or 41 if you want to make more money and faster xp.

Me cutting an oak tree. Oak trees are the lowest level tree you can cut that don't fall down after one log has been retrieved. In other words, oaks can take more than 1 log chopped before they fall down.

This is where oak trees are located. There are usually multiple people chopping here in a f2p world, so it's best to get a head start of at least 20 woodcutting before you chop here in a f2p world. This place is usually bare in a p2p world, so you can start chopping at level 15 if you like. Chop oak trees until 30 if you want to quickly move to willows. Chop oaks until level 41 if you want a head start, and to chop willows faster.

Step #3: Willow trees.

Willow trees are NOT highly recommended for making any kind of money. Most of the time they don't sell at all, and if they do they aren't worth a lot. The best place to chop them (one of the only places with multiple trees) is at Draynor. This place is perfect because the bank is literally right beside it. It's usually packed here in a f2p world, so it's good for non members to get a bit of a head start. In a member world it is sometimes bare and if there's any people there, it's only a few. Cut willows until about 60 woodcutting if you want to go straight into yews, 70 woodcutting if you want a little head start on the yews, or 95 woodcutting if you want to have a good, fast head start on yews. A lot of people cut willows from 30 untill 99.

Step#4: Yew trees.

Yew trees are very good for money, and depending on your woodcutting level, can be very good xp too.  With 60 woodcutting, yews will come a bit slow. With 70 woodcutting, they will still seem a bit slow and you might not notice much change. It's best to start yews at around 80-85 woodcutting, or even higher, if you want faster results. People say 95 is the level you should start cutting yews. Remember, if your in it for the money, start yews at level 60 because yews can be 10,000-15,000 gold for 1 inventory full! Yews are located in Lumbridge, fairly near Draynor where willows are found. Also, in a members world, yews are located in Camelot, but it's best to chop yews in lumbridge in a members world because there is alomst NOBODY there ever in a members world. They are all off chopping in Camelot. If you want, you can chop yews until 99 woodcutting, which is the best way to make money woodcutting in a f2p world. In a members world, there is a new tree introduced called the magic tree. We will talk about that one later.

Here are where yews are located: behind Lumbridge. As you can see it is very close to Draynor, as Draynor is in Lumbridge.

(optional) Step# 5: Magic trees.

Magic trees are a members (p2p) only tree. You need level 75 woodcutting to chop these trees. Magics take a very long time to respawn (reappear) after they have fallen down, and a long time to chop. I recommend getting level 90+ woodcutting before you can chop magic trees fast. Quite a few people chop magics, making it even slower to get logs, as they are worth 1,000-1,500 gold each log and are worth 30,000-38,000 for 1 whole inventory full. Magic trees are located in Camelot, around the same area as yews but farther away. Magics are in the Sorcerer's tower.

Me chopping a magic tree. It doesn't look packed here, but there are a lot of people standing in the same place as me (under me) chopping the same tree.

Camelot's Sorcerer's tower, where magic trees are found. "You are here" is covering Sorcerer's tower.

Here is a rough amount of how many people chop here (4 people including me). Usernames blanked.

----EXTRAS----

Chopping oaks is also very good (even better than the varrock area) in Camelot! You need to have a members account to chop in this area, but it's a good place. There are 2 oaks literally directly beside each other and right beside a bank! Nobody chops here, as it is not a woodcutting highlight. If anyone's chopping here, their chopping the Maple trees which I will talk about later.

Me chopping oaks at Camelot.

Here is the location on the map.

----EXTRAS #2----

Chopping maple trees is a very fast way to gain xp, and they cost just a bit less than oak logs, so you can still gain a little money. At 100xp a log, maples are good to chop because they are in the exact location of the oaks in Camelot I just talked about! You will see red colored trees (maples). You need a woodcutting level of 45 to chop maple trees.
